Hardness: on delivery ~ 300 HV (~ 30 HRC), as operating mix ~ 475 HV (~ 47 HRC)

Microstructure: austenitic

Blast cleaning, deburring, surface finishing, surface-improvement

Zinc pressure die castings
Non-ferrous metals and special alloys
Stainless steel castings and forgings

Before & After

Stainless steel shot and grit is used primarily to remove thick coatings and heavy rust from objects. Its rough rigid shape aggressively cuts away at the surface, always leaving a clean, smooth surface in its aftermath.
